Chhattisgarhi dish Chausela: Puri is usually made from wheat flour across the country. But in Chhattisgarh, Chausela is made from rice flour. The method of making it is almost the same as making Puri. Urmila, a housewife living in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, told us how you can easily make delicious Chausela at home. To make this dish, rice flour, salt, cumin, celery and bay leaves are needed.

Making process
First of all, take rice flour in a plate. Add cumin, celery or whatever you like. If you do not eat cumin or celery, then it is not necessary to add it. Add salt and oil for kneading. Some people mix wheat flour with rice flour, but traditionally Chausela is made only with rice flour. After this, heat water and knead a little hard dough with lukewarm water. Apply a little oil on it and keep it covered for 10 minutes. Now heat oil in a pan. Break a dough ball and then roll it with light hands. You have to fry it on medium to high flame. Fry it from both sides till it turns light brown. Now you can eat Chhattisgarhi style Chausela with tomato chutney.
